How do I know which plan to choose?
All service plans are based on standard 15-gallon kitchen bags.
- One 30-gallon bag counts as 2 bags
- One 64-gallon bag counts as 4 bags
- And so on.
Please use your best judgment when estimating your trash volume. We’ll review and adjust your plan after the first month if needed—whether it’s more or less.
What areas do you service?
The Trash Man provides services for Ellijay, East Ellijay and surrounding North Georgia areas including Cherry Log, Blue Ridge, Cashes Valley, Epworth, and West Fannin. Not sure if you’re in our zone? Check the map on our Contact page. You can also call/text (706) 502-4170.
What days do you pick up trash?
Pickup days vary by location. Once you sign up, we’ll let you know your designated pickup day.
Do I need to provide my own trash can?
You can use your own sturdy bin, or request one from us when signing up.
What time should I have my trash out?
Please have your trash out by 7:00 AM on your scheduled pickup day to ensure service.
🚯 Trash Rules & Limits
What items can I NOT put out for pickup?
We do not accept:
- Hazardous materials (paint, gas, oil)
- Dead animals
- Tires
- Large electronics or appliances
- Construction debris (unless pre-approved)
Is there a weight or bag limit?
The number of bags is based on the package you signed up for.
Please make sure all bags are securely tied and not too heavy. If the bag rips when lifted or can’t be thrown into the truck bed, it may not be collected.
💵 Payments & Billing
How much does your service cost?
Rates vary by location and frequency. Contact us for a quick quote. Most customers pay $40/month for weekly pickup.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit card, cash, check, CashApp, and Venmo. Auto-pay options available.
When is payment due?
Payment is due by the 1st of each month. A late fee may apply after a 5-day grace period.
🔄 Changes, Holds & Cancellations
Can I pause service if I’m going out of town?
Yes, only for entire month. Not week to week.
How do I cancel service?
Call or text us anytime. No contracts—cancel whenever you need.
Can I switch pickup days?
Pickup days are based on routes, but we’ll do our best to accommodate. Fee may apply.

Do you offer bulk item pickup?
Yes, for an additional fee. Contact us with a photo of the item(s) for pricing.
What happens if I miss a pickup?
Contact us ASAP. We’ll do our best to reschedule within the week (small fee may apply).
Do you offer recycling?
Not at this time, but we plan to in the future. Stay tuned!
